The Story of a Photographer

After my first husband got tired of me spending hundreds on film and development from one zoo visit, he gifted me my first digital camera. After he lost his battle to cancer, photographs became even more important to me. Several hand me down cameras and lens from my mom and step dad later, I have been fortunate to photograph some amazing events!

I absolutely love sports, hiking and travel. Though if you want to get a good pace while hiking, I'm most likely not your girl...I will slow you down photographing everything along the way! And don't even get me started on the zoo and wildlife. Did you know I am fluent in "animal"? Thank goodness my husband is a patient man. I wish I could say the same for our children!

Fact: I will cry at your wedding. I adore love! I will also have a scavenger hunt with a secret list of things I get at every wedding. (Hint: taking a selfie may get you in the gallery).

The absolute biggest compliment that I will never tire of hearing is how I have captured someone's personality. Let's be real, posing is awkward and means nothing if the photo doesn't look like the person afterwards.

Testimonials

“We wanted someone who was able to come to Highland and our home in Marengo, so we could have sports pictures taken as well as portraits. Nicole was not only willing to come out and take pictures but was very flexible with our busy schedule. She did an amazing job and would highly recommend her to anyone.”
